
Satoko Kora
Pallabi Bhattacharya completed her Bachelor’s (2019) and Master’s (2021) degrees in Geography with a specialization in GIS and Remote Sensing from the University of Calcutta, India. She graduated with first class honors and received multiple academic scholarships. During her master’s program, she completed a paid climate-change research internship and conducted two major projects: one on coastal erosion in the vulnerable Sundarbans region and another on fly ash deposition impacts in the Kolkata- new town urban corridor. She also served as a teaching assistant, supporting undergraduate GIS and Geo-statistics courses. She has over five years’ experience in land use planning, flood analysis, tax parcel mapping, and city planning projects with Geotech Solutions, India. Currently, she is working on utility data analysis and AI-driven data annotation for MGP, supporting local government initiatives. Pallabi has traveled to 11 countries explored diverse cuisine; among them the great Himalayan region base camp trip and Switzerland trip remain especially meaningful to her.
