Abanoub Bakheet
Miguel Ortiz joined MGP as a GIS Technician in June 2026, bringing a passion for geospatial technology and a commitment to serving local communities. Miguel holds a B.S. in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a graduate certificate in GIS from Loyola University Chicago. Prior to joining MGP, he gained hands-on GIS experience as a GIS Intern at Clarke Environmental Services, where he focused on field map production and QA/QC workflows. Outside of work, Miguel enjoys exploring new restaurants with family and friends. He is an avid runner and recently completed his first half-marathon.
